After a 5 days rain storm I partnered up with Marine Cpl. Nguyen, cousin and co-pilot, to set out for a physical and mental exploration. The morning air was thick with beads of rain sitting on our windshield as we watched clouds traverse the mountain range. This was it, the clouds were retreating and it was our chance to chase.
Get a grip, stay calm, and plan the next move for when the storm breaks and the gloom passes. It always does. Streams flow fastest after the rain and with that comes a sense of direction and unseen beauty. Trust your instincts and follow the flow, it just feels right. Walk that line between seeing clear and wandering through fog with faith. The path is muddy, the rocks are slick, and the water flows rapidly. Utilize your knowledge, retain lessons, and continue your journey along the unbeaten path. Do it when nobody else is will to, when everybody else says it shouldn't be done. Be willing to chase it wholeheartedly and without fear. Push your limits, take calculated risks, and don't hesitate on the edge. Smile when you take routes that don't connect, it's all part of the adventure. Stay focused and on track.
The waterfalls are out there, I've seen them.
